I never follow the directions after the first time.I love this jug and I own it in 2 sizes. One just for spouse and me and one large enough for friends. Sometimes, if I have guest for dinner. I do one with sweetener and one without. When I want sweet tea, I like mine strong so I put 9 scoops. Heat one cup of water plus my sugar/honey…stir until dissolved…cool a little and then add to the jar. It is so easy to prepare in the morning and it is ready when you come home for dinner. If I have any leftovers, I pour it into my next favorite purchase from you…my Tea Traveler.
