Detox Herbs

It’s that time of year again. Allergies, pollen and everyone wanting to detox the winter away. Spring is the time of year that we get hit the hardest when dealing with herbal detox remedies. What most individuals do not realize is that you have different herbs to detox specific parts of the body. You also have a few that are great all-around herbs as well. Some will purify the blood, others the liver, kidneys, and lymph nodes. It all depends on what you are wanting to achieve with their detox.

Liver & Kidneys

We will begin with the liver and kidneys. These organs are required to detoxify and eliminate waste within the body. The kidneys regulate sodium and mineral levels, excreting extra salts so that toxins do not build up in your body. The liver, is the largest internal organ within the body and aides in digestion by producing bile that breaks down fats and absorbs nutrients and rids the body of toxic wastes. I have listed five herbs that aide the liver and kidneys with detoxifying the body.

Blood

The liver is your body’s detoxifying organ, and it’s constantly filtering blood to strip away any chemicals or toxins that may have ended up in your bloodstream.
