Earl Grey Tea Our Best Seller

One of our most popular line of teas at the shop would have to our Earl Grey tea. Hands down. Earl Grey would not be Earl Grey without the addition of bergamot oil. What is bergamot oil? Other than it being used for tea, does it also have a beneficial upside when dealing with overall body health?

Bergamot is the main export of Calabria, Italy. It is a tropical citrus fruit plant that grows mostly in Europe and is known for its essential oil benefits. Because the fruit is so pungent, I have never seen or heard of anyone consuming the meat of the fruit.

One of the first uses for the oil would be to aid in digestion. Because of the increase in blood circulation, the bodies metabolic rate is increased, causing the production of bile and insulin. Hence aiding in digestion and the bodies ability to absorb and assimilate nutrients.

Bergamot oil can also be used as a sedative. The oil has been known for sometime to aid in reducing nervous tension, anxiety, and stress. Used in a diffusor, the oil also imparts a feeling of well-being that aids in the suppression of depression, and at times insomnia.

Bergamot is also known for killing germs, reducing fevers and aiding to alleviate pain within the body.

See you at the shop.
