Snow Pear Oolong (Xue Li)

Our Snow Pear Oolong, is a comparatively rare style of oolong not often found in the U.S. It is largely consumed by the domestic market as it is a local favorite crafted to local customs of taste. The small leaf offers a distinct flowery aroma and a natural, peachy flavor. Snow Pear offers another glimpse into China’s seemingly endless range of cultivars and flavors.  Tasting this year’s offering we found a fresh, light peachy note with a sweet floral undertone. The leaves open to a light shade of green and offer a subtle, fragrant flavors. It will leave a distinct yet light, sweet, fruit-like aftertaste.
