Assam Marangi Second Flush: A Sophisticated and Bold Assam Tea Blend
Our award-winning Assam Marangi Second Flush is one of our most robust, sophisticated Assam tea blends. Its popularity surpasses even our Assam Molkalbari. This tea has just a slight astringency balanced by the delicate sweetness that comes from its young leaves. As a result, this tea has a complex flavor that is both weighty and elegant. Furthermore, the flavor of this tea calls upon natural spicy and malty notes. Because of this, our Assam Marangi is great choice for fans of Assam teas. The nuances of its flavor make it a champion among its peers. It is a prime examples of a truly superior Assam tea—perfection in a cup.

This is one of the best teas I have ever tasted. The aroma in unbeaten: full nose and tones of malt and barley brew a dark amber cup that satisfies every time. Superb and worth every penny.

This is a 5 star tea, but I don’t think it’s twice as good as some of the other Assams, though it is twice the price. I just finished a sampler size of it and did very much enjoy it–it was distinctively different from Assam Koomsong and the Harmutty–more bright than heavy. I definitely got the bread/malt/barley flavors, and I agree it’s the perfect astringency. I like the Koomsong just a little bit better because it has this malty-raisin flavor that I like, and, I think, a deeper more compelling aroma. Still, this was quite good.
