Oakwood Garden Club: 25th Annual Garden Tour & Victorian Tea

$30.00The Oakwood Garden Club will continue a spring tradition with the 25th Annual Oakwood Garden Tour and Tea Saturday, May 3 and Sunday, May 4, 2014. Guests will be treated to a complimentary Victorian Tea followed by walking tours of some of the best gardens of Historic Oakwood. Tea seating time options will be based on availability at time of ticket purchase.
Novice and expert gardeners, outdoors enthusiasts, history buffs, and families will enjoy a neighborhood stroll while gathering endless ideas for annual and perennial gardens. Tours will include short and long options for touring some of Oakwood’s most beautiful sites and nearby spaces.
Tour guides will provide insight on the neighborhood’s history and highlight features of the varying gardens and home architectural styles, including Victorian, Queen Anne, Second Empire and Greek Revival.
The Victorian Tea will feature vintage china and hand-selected teas prepared by Tin Roof Teas and paired with complementary sweet and savory edibles provided by local businesses.
The Tea will last approximately one hour. Guests are invited to wear their best hats and are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes.
